March 7, 2006

Governor Chimaroke Nnamani has said that PDP in the State will not tolerate the activities of detractors and those with dubious loyalty to the party.

Governor Nnamani, who stated this while addressing local government and ward executives of the party from Enugu East Senatorial Zone at Okpara Square, Enugu, told them to go all out and resuscitate the party structures at their ward and local government levels.

The Governor also told the party faithfuls that efforts were being made to fish-out those whose membership of the party structures was unstable and replace them with tested and trusted foundation members.

According to the Governor, “Work has started. You are therefore required to go back and work harder to mobilize the people and revive the party structures".

He told them that nothing had changed from what it was in the past years when they started the journey, adding that the party was still in control of affairs in the state.

The State Party leader said that those who worked for the party will be adequately compensated and advised them to be mindful of those he described as people of little faith.

The Governor said that PDP as the ruling party will continue to promote peace and good governance and will not be involved in any form of confrontation with their adversaries.

In his speech, the State Chairman of the Party, Chief Dr. Onyiaoha Nwanjoku, said that the large turn out of the party members from the zone was a demonstration of their total support and absolute confidence in the leadership quality of the state Governor.

The Deputy Speaker, Federal House of Representatives, Hon Prince Gi1 Emeka Nnaji, in his remarks called on the PDP members in the State to remain where they were in the Ebeano line up.

works for the people.

The State Commissioner for Lands, Deacon Okey Ogbodo in his contribution charged PDP loyalists in the state to guard jealously what they had, since, according to him, no one knows the value of what he has until he loses it.

Deacon Ogbodo used the forum to tell the people that he had returned to the PDP family, a family which he helped to build, and charged them to be careful over what they hear or read.

Chief Mrs. Kate Eneh, the Chairman of Nkanu Central Development Centre, in her speech thanked Governor Nnamani for his good works and for according the womenfolk their full recognition in the scheme of things in the state.
