2019: Ex-Governor Nnamani Woos Enugu Electorate

FORMER Governor of Enugu State and Enugu-East Senatorial Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Dr Chimaroke Nnamani, yesterday moved his campaign train to rural communities in his zone with a call on the electorate to vote massively for him and other candidates in his party in 2019 general election draws so as to enable them to consolidate on the giant strides of the present administration in the state on human and infrastructural development.

Dr Nnamani who visited some communities in Njodo, Iyi-Ukwu, Enugu-East and Enugu-East Central Development Centres with his campaign promise of rural transformation, lauded Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, whom he described as “a great leader and a man of uncommon leadership virtues who respects the symbol and heritage of Nsukka,” to revive his political ambition.“The Enugu governor, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi is a good man with inestimable humility and candour. We in Ebeano Family is one. We have come a long way and I am happy for the understanding”, he added. All the Speakers at the event including the PDP House of Representative Candidate for Enugu-East/Isi-Uzo Federal Constituency, Honourable Cornelius Nnaji, expressed their gratitude to Governor Ugwuanyi for giving them the opportunity to clinch the party’s tickets for the 2019 polls, adding that they would serve the people diligently and with fear of God.

Nnaji also commended ex-Governor Nnamani for the leadership role he played in the political life of virtually every politician in the state, stressing that the forthcoming elections would be held in favour of PDP smoothly in the state.He urged the people to vote wisely in forthcoming general polls as PDP is the only party that has given them hope, adding that Enugu remains a PDP state.It could be recalled that Dr Nnamani the founder of “Ebeano” political movement returned to Enugu State capital a month ago to the surprise of his critics with the commencement of his house to house campaign and interaction with people in major streets of Enugu metropolis.
